The threat doesn't seem to land, even as Lilia stares down at Floyd. With no choice in the matter for poor Floyd, this meant Lilia had already achieved the upper hand. He laughs -- laughs -- at the arguing between Floyd and one of those men.
Aw, he's his? How cute.
Obviously Floyd doesn't mean it in any way aside from wanting to tear Lilia apart, but that doesn't stop the small man from being amused.
"Oh? How do you plan to do that in our current position? I'm all ears, dear." Floyd's hair is tugged harder, an almost predatory look on Lilia's face.
"Your father gave me this job. I intend to make the very best of it, to do what I can to keep you in line. I'm still willing to give you as much leniency as possible, but you must promise to stop attempting to run off....
"Unless you'd prefer I put a collar and leash on you? That would be quite the look."
With a small wistful sigh, he shakes his head. "You wouldn't wish to disappoint your father, would you? Come now, sir. We can get a drink and a dessert, my treat. I'll show you to one of my favorite cafe's in town," Leaning in further, down so he can whisper in his ear, he finishes, "We can shake those two off, too. Give us some time to get acquainted."
"I ain't your dear." Floyd grimaces through the pain but stubbornly tries to turn his head away in spite of it. Nevertheless, it's difficult to ignore that predatory look in the other man's eyes--red and purposeful; wild. The words to follow sour his mood, however, and with a scoff Floyd rolls his eyes, any ounce of mounting interest immediately quelled.
But threatening him with restriction is one thing. Mentioning his father's disappointment, well-- That's another.
As pissed off as Floyd is with his father's decision, he can't deny he still respects the man with all his heart. He's the head of this family for a reason, after all. There's no one whose opinion matters more. ... So if he trusts Lilia enough to place Floyd in his care, then isn't that reason enough to concede?
After several moments, the boy finally stills. "How?" he asks, his cooperation all but secured.
There were so many reasons that his father had chosen Lilia. This wild streak that almost matched Floyd's, that was enough to confuse and befuddle even the very guards that were told to make sure this handoff went smoothly, was only one of the reasons. What wouldn't Lilia do, to make sure Floyd submit to this? He'd had enough experience with unruly boys in the past, not that Floyd knew that.
That little question was all Lilia needed to loosen his grip on Floyd's hair, to show he was willing to work with Floyd. Not that he was willing to allow him to win, not by any means, but for them to fall in line in a partnership of sorts.
"They are here to make sure this goes smoothly. They expect you to run, to need to subdue you. Not that they ever could. I mean, look at them. They'd struggle and ultimately fail. No one can ever subdue you, sir. Not truly." Flattery- would it work?
"They want us to go straight to the apartment your father has set up for us; I don't care for that plan. Why force you to be inside immediately, for your first day out? We have two choices..."
"One, we try to play it off as a joke. Catch them off guard-- knock them out and slip them into the car to ensure their safety. Leave a note, apologize but not really? Sorry, not sorry! You were overbearing~" Lilia laughs softly, before offering the second idea, "Two, the far more fun option...."
"We return to them, pull their pants down to their ankles and book it. With our speed together, they'd never catch us."
