Fortunately for Rayne, Cater's already rolling the camera as Rayne's thinking about it. The thing won't record sound, so that's nothing to worry about. All that matters is that he gets an image of Rayne, however short and awkward of a snapshot it is. "Nope," he confirms as he turns the crank, watching the image in the mirror. "I can see through the lens fine, so that's good, but I won't know if this even comes out until I try and develop the film, since it isn't an instant camera."

Magical, yes, but still an old model.

"But that's so exciting, isn't it? It means we can revisit this later! I'll let you know how the film turns out, and we can investigate from there."

Once he's satisfied with the amount he's recorded, Cater looks back up at Rayne--he hasn't stopped smiling, but it's clear that this is still a real smile.

"For now, wanna get something to eat? I'm getting pretty hungry."
